Getz Pharma Wins Environment Excellence Award
The Environment Excellence Award for 2010 was awarded to Getz Pharma by the National Forum for Environment & Health (NFEH) for its contributions in the field of environmental conservation and environment friendly policies and practices.
2nd CMA Global Management Accounting Summit 2010
The 2nd CMA Global Management Accounting Summit 2010 was held from June 29 to July 1, 2010 at Colombo, Sri Lanka. The summit with the theme, "CMA for Sustainable Business" was hosted by the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka and endorsed by the international Management Accounting bodies including the member countries of South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA), Canada, Australia, UK, USA, and International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).
Earth Hour at Getz Pharma
Getz Pharma participated in the “Earth Hour” on 27th March, 2010. Earth Hour is the world’s biggest global climate change initiative led by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to engage the people on the issue of climate change. Earth Hour takes place every year on the last Saturday of March by asking households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights and other electrical appliances for one hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on climate change. It was conceived by WWF Australia in 2007 and 2.2 million residents of Sydney participated in the inaugural Earth Hour on March 31, 2007 by turning off all non-essential lights as a symbolic act to conserve energy.
Getz Pharma Enterprise Management on SAP
Getz Pharma's management policy of continuously reinvestmenting in state-of-the-art technology, systems, facilities and people led to its decision to license and implement SAP ERP in 2008. On January 12, 2009, Getz Pharma celebrated SAP Goes Live" at Getz Pharma at a festive ceremony. All other systems were disconnected and every function is now efficiently running on SAP. SAP will increase productivity, reduce cycle time of activities, and will ensure optimum inventories and manufacturing capacities. This achievement was recorded as a milestone, as the entire business model and cycle was translated onto SAP in a record time of six months.
Getz Pharma Launches Insuget
On January 12, 2009, Getz Pharma launched generic insulin in the Pakistan market under the trade name Insuget.
Export Award 2007-2008
For the third year in a row, Getz Pharma (Private) Limited has been awarded the Best Export Award for 2007-2008 by the Government of Pakistan in the category of Best Export Performance Award in pharmaceuticals. Getz Pharma is the youngest pharmaceutical company in Pakistan to earn the distinction of winning the Prime Minister's export trophy for the past three consecutive years for the highest exports in pharmaceuticals.

In the past three years, Getz Pharma has invested more than US$46 million in revamping existing facilities, building a new solid oral and injectable dosage forms facility, purchasing state-of-the-art production machineries, quality control equipment and Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems that meet the dossier requirements of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)/World Health Organization (WHO) quality, and a world-class, state-of-the-art, high-rise pharmaceutical warehouse, which is automated and temperature-controlled.
Getz Pharma Facility wins second prize in Landscaping and Gardens
Getz Pharma won the second prize in the Industrial Gardens category during the annual awards competition 2009 organized by the Horticultural Society of Pakistan (HSP). The organization participated in this competition for the first time and outrun many organizations that have been receiving awards in the last few years. The premises were inspected by experts from HSP who merited distinction and spoke highly of the well designed, beautiful and well maintained landscape and gardens. The judgment criterion was based on creativity in landscape designing, layout, overall environment, variety and health of plantations and flowers, originality and quality of flora. Among the competitors of the category, Getz Pharma was the only organization that was given full marks in 'overall feel', and 'cleanliness' and highest marks in 'landscaping.'
Learning to Lead
Learning to Lead Program has been initiated at Getz Pharma in August 2008 with the aim to bring about a paradigm shift in the way general employees, especially key managers, think and execute their job responsibilities.
